Today, we share with you the testimonials of participants in the training course “Digital Horizons: Empowering Youth Workers for the Future,” held in Cyprus in early December 2024.
The goal of this international training course, managed by our partner Planbe, was to provide participants with insights into how creativity and digital innovation can enhance youth work practices, making non-formal education activities more engaging.

“The project ‘Digital Horizons: Empowering Youth Workers for the Future,’ held from December 2 to 8 in Kornos, Cyprus, was an incredible experience. For a week, I had the opportunity to work in an international context alongside participants from Cyprus, Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, and Hungary. The multicultural nature of the group made every activity stimulating, allowing us to share ideas, traditions, and diverse perspectives.
The digital tools we explored helped me expand my knowledge and acquire new skills that will surely be useful in my personal and professional journey. I especially appreciated discovering tools I had never encountered before, which were a true revelation. The working sessions were well-organized, thanks to the professionalism and dedication of Kiriakos and Antonis, who guided us with clarity and passion. Additionally, navigating the entire experience in English was a challenge that allowed me to improve my language skills and communicate effectively with the group.
This experience was not only educational but also an opportunity to discover the beauty of Cyprus. Exploring the area, learning about its history, and sharing unforgettable moments with the group made it even more special. I learned so much and am grateful for this opportunity, which I hope to repeat in the future. I would recommend these Erasmus+ projects to all young people, as they are a fantastic opportunity for personal and professional growth. They allow you to develop practical skills, improve language competencies, and learn how to collaborate in an international context. Additionally, they offer the chance to discover new cultures, broaden your horizons, and create bonds that last over time. “The experience I just had was a unique opportunity that enriched my educational and personal journey. I had the chance to participate in a training course on digital innovation held in Cyprus, and I can confidently say it was one of the most significant events of my life. During the course, I not only learned new tools and methodologies applicable, in my case, to my field of study but also engaged with people from various parts of Europe.
The most valuable aspects were the energetic exchanges of ideas and experiences, allowing all of us to grow professionally and personally. Each participant brought a unique perspective, enriching every discussion and activity with cultural diversity that I would never have experienced otherwise.

Moreover, Erasmus+ isn’t just a learning opportunity but also an open door to relationships that can last a lifetime. It’s not just a trip to another country but a genuine human growth experience every young person should live.”

“Participating in the Erasmus+ Digital Horizons project in Cyprus was an incredibly positive and inspiring experience. I had never taken part in such an initiative and didn’t know exactly what to expect, but from day one, I was swept up in a wave of energy and enthusiasm. Every day was an opportunity to learn, explore, and connect with people from all over the world.
The project focused on acquiring new digital tools to use in youth work. Each activity was well-structured, and every day we had the opportunity to learn a new tool. Many of these tools were entirely new to me, but they have now become integral to my approach and are indispensable.
What truly made this experience special, however, was the social dimension. Meeting people from different countries, each with their own wealth of stories and knowledge, was enriching in every sense. Working in groups, sharing ideas, and observing how different cultures meet and blend was the most stimulating and rewarding aspect of the entire journey.
Moreover, having the chance to discover the beauty and culture of Cyprus through our hosts was an invaluable bonus. The warm Cypriot hospitality made everything even more unforgettable.
I sincerely hope to participate in similar projects in the future because I’m convinced initiatives like this have the power to transform you, help you grow as a person, and enrich you in unimaginable ways. I highly recommend this experience to everyone, regardless of age or background. It’s an opportunity that broadens your mind, allows you to expand your horizons, and helps you acquire cross-cutting skills. My advice is: go for it without hesitation!”
